Ashtdhatu - Ashtdhatu ( 'eight metals'), also called octo-alloy, is an alloy comprising the eight metals of gold, silver, copper, lead, zinc, tin, iron, and mercury, often used for casting metallic idols for Jain and Hindu temples in India. Ashtdhatu is used because it is considered sattvic (virtuous or pure) in Hinduism, and does not decay,
โThe idols are very costly and idol thieves are always on the lookout for such idols. Some of the idols date back to the 6th century AD.
โThe process of making Ashtdhatu idols is bit complex and it varies.
โIn the first stage, the exact model of the deity is made using wax.
โIn the second stage, the wax model is covered with clay to make a mold.
In the third stage, the wax and clay mold is put into fire. In this process, the clay hardens and the wax melts away making a hollow mold.
โIn the fourth, the eight metals – taken according to the proportion required – are melted.
โIn the fifth stage, the melted amalgam is poured into the clay mold and is allowed to cool.
โIn the final stage, after cooling, the clay molds are dismantled and the Ashtadhatu idol is revealed.

Gaur Nitai refers to the combined form of two Hindu deities, Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Sri Nityananda Prabhu, who are believed to be the incarnations of Lord Krishna and Lord Balarama respectively. Here is a possible description of a Gaur Nitai statue:
The Gaur Nitai statue depicts the two deities standing side by side, with Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu on the left and Sri Nityananda Prabhu on the right. They are both depicted as young, handsome men with golden complexions and wearing simple traditional garments.
Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu is shown with two raised arms in the gesture of kirtan or chanting, holding a Mridanga (a traditional Indian drum) and cymbals. He is often depicted wearing a peacock feather in his hair, which is a symbol of his divine nature.
Sri Nityananda Prabhu is shown with one raised arm and one lowered arm, with the raised arm holding a danda (a staff) and the lowered arm resting on his hip. He is often depicted wearing a crown and holding a lotus flower, which represents his role as the guru or spiritual guide.
The Gaur Nitai statue is often adorned with colorful silk clothes, jewelry, and flower garlands. It is believed to radiate a powerful spiritual energy that can purify the hearts of those who gaze upon it and inspire them to engage in devotional service to Lord Krishna.
